darefire I’m not sure how this even possible, but this album manages to be both scary and yet adorable. The concept may seem gimmicky- Lo-Fi Black Metal with a young girl talking about her nightmares- but it’s actually very well done. The vocals have genuine emotion behind them, and the music put behind that is hypnotic and dark, perfectly matching the vocal themes. I hope it’s therapeutic for her; it certainly makes for good ambient black metal listening for me.

Bloody Nightmares is a project to help a five year old girl reclaim her sleep by owning her nightmares. Everything in the song is told straight from her dreams. Nothing is coaxed out of her, these are her real dreams set to music.
